We’re all excited for a three-day weekend, but let’s not forget to get a little history lesson in so students understand the significance of the holiday!

Presidents Day is celebrated on the third Monday in February. It was originally established to recognize and honor President George Washington in 1885. Today, the holiday commemorates past presidents of the United States.

Presidents Day Trivia Challenge for Classroom

George Washington : President Trivia – U.S. History, Civics and Government

Students will answer 10 True or False questions about George Washington. Each correct response is worth a certain amount of “change”. Students add up their “change” for all true answers. The student who calculates the correct dollar amount, or closest, is the winner!
