Membership program ending December 31, 2026 — and the shop is moving to TPT
This is a difficult update to write. After careful consideration, and with genuine sadness, I have to discontinue the Think Tank Teacher membership program effective December 31, 2026. The Think Tank Teacher shop has also stopped selling resources directly — every resource is now purchased on my TPT store.
Why I’m making this change
I want to be transparent with you. Teachers Pay Teachers has introduced a new Exclusive Seller membership, and beginning January 1, 2027, Exclusive Sellers may only sell digital educational resources through TPT. That includes memberships and subscriptions that give access to those resources.
TPT has been central to my business for years, and keeping my store in good standing there is what supports my family. That means I can no longer run the Think Tank Teacher membership. It breaks my heart, and I’m sorry.
While “Think Tank Teacher LLC” sounds very official, please know it’s just me behind the scenes. No team, no employees. Just me.
What this means for your membership
Your membership stays active through December 31, 2026. After that date it ends automatically — you don’t need to cancel anything.
- Annual members: your membership runs through December 31, 2026, no matter when it would normally have renewed, and you won’t be billed again. In accordance with the membership terms, refunds aren’t available for unused membership time or unused credits.
- Monthly members: you will not be billed again. Your access continues through December 31, 2026 at no further charge, even if that’s longer than you’ve paid for.
Your credits and points
All membership credits and reward points expire on December 31, 2026. After that date they can’t be redeemed, don’t roll over, and have no cash value. Refunds aren’t available for unused credits or points.
Please use every credit and point you have before December 31. If you have a balance sitting in your account, now is the time to spend it.
Your past purchases
Your account will stay open. You’ll still be able to log in to see your order history and receipts.
Under TPT’s current terms, you may keep access to resources you’ve already purchased, and I intend to keep that access available to you. I do want to be honest, though: TPT is still finalizing the details of this transition, and if their guidance changes, I may have to comply.
So please download everything you want to keep before December 31, 2026, and save your files somewhere safe. I’d hate for you to lose something you paid for because a rule changed after the fact.
What about the courses?
Good news, and this one is certain: courses are not affected. TPT’s terms specifically allow courses and professional development to be sold and hosted outside of TPT. Your access to any course you’ve purchased continues exactly as it is now, through your same login. I’ll keep offering courses and professional development, so this is one chapter ending, not the whole book.
What’s changing on the website
- The membership program ends December 31, 2026
- The shop no longer sells resources directly — each product page sends you to that resource on my TPT store
- Membership resources and credits are no longer available after December 31, 2026
- Your account stays open for your order history, past purchases and courses
Your timeline
- Now through December 31, 2026 — your membership is fully active. Use it!
- December 1–31, 2026 — last call. Spend your credits and points, and download anything you want to keep.
- January 1, 2027 — memberships end and credits expire. Accounts and courses continue.
