Description
The Democrats and Republicans (Political Parties) Escape Room will take students on a secret mission around the classroom! This escape room has students decode the different views between the political parties of Democrats and Republicans on specific issues.
I tried to create this as neutral/unbiased as possible. I even had MANY others edit/test out this product to make sure it is a fair portrayal of each party.
This product covers the following topics: An overview/definition of Political Parties, Taxes, Health Care, Gun Control Laws, Education, Defense, and Environment. It does NOT cover the highly debated topics of immigration, death penalty, abortion etc. This resource is appropriate for use in a 6th grade classroom and higher.
This resource allows students to get a brief overview of how each political party feels about a particular issue. It is not a time for debate or questions, simply learning about views. I have students ask me all the time, “ What is the difference between Democrats and Republicans?” and I created this resource to help answer their questions in a self exploration type of activity.
